DIVERSITY & INCLUSION COMMITTEE


Created in 2016, the Diversity & Inclusion Committee acts to provide information, training, and resources to educate the NEDRA community on issues related to diversity and inclusion, as well as help ensure NEDRA is a diverse, equitable, accessible, and inclusive organization.


The 2024/2025 committee’s charge is to rewrite NEDRA’s mission statement and vision around diversity and inclusion.


The Diversity & Inclusion Committee is currently co-chaired by Lauren Casas of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Steve Grimes, Jr. of The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. Committee members include:

  • Sharon Brown of Black Enterprise Resource Center
  • Megan Horton of UNICEF USA
  • Constance Kristofik of Lifespan Health System
  • Nancy Lee of Dartmouth University
  • Melina Mardueño of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
  • Francesca Scaraggi of Wyss Institute
  • Serah Sibley of UMass Amherst Foundation
  • Ashley Wright.


Volunteer Tasks:

  • Meeting virtually at regular intervals with other Diversity & Inclusion Committee members for updates and strategic planning.
  • Collaborating with members of other NEDRA committees to incorporate diversity and inclusion, such as finding speakers or workshop presenters for a NEDRA programming event that focus on aspects of diversity and inclusion


Time Commitment:

On average, the time commitment is estimated to be 2 - 3 hours per month fulfilling committee member tasks mentioned.
