CALL FOR NOMINATIONS


NEDRA is seeking nominees for open positions on our board of directors!


Both self-nominations or nominations of colleagues are enthusiastically welcomed. 


Deadline for Submissions: Friday, February 16, 2024

 

NEDRA board members serve two-year terms beginning in July, up to 3 consecutive terms. The board meets several times per year both remotely and in person; in addition, board members attend and/or lead select NEDRA programs and the annual conference. The board consists of at least 12 members who rotate committee responsibilities to: 

  • Perform executive leadership and governance duties 

  • Manage all aspects of NEDRA’s programming, including boot camps, scholarship opportunities, and the NEDRA annual conference 

  • Produce, design, edit, and distribute communications to the NEDRA community, including marketing emails and news updates 

  • Maintain the NEDRA website 

  • Secure sponsors for conference and other programming opportunities 

  • Grow and diversify membership 

  • Collaborate with management association staff 

  • Manage volunteer committees 

  • Be passionate advocates for the profession and more! 

NEDRA Board Members must: 

  • Be a current NEDRA Member 

  • Have experience in prospect research, management, analytics, due diligence or related fields in nonprofit development 

  • Work, reside, or provide services to nonprofit organizations in New England 

 * Those who may not meet these criteria but have at least two years of active NEDRA volunteer experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.


Other criteria for evaluating board nominees may include: 

  • Prior volunteer involvement with NEDRA (e.g. contributor to NEDRA News, conference presenter, program host, committee volunteer, etc.) 

  • Interest in helping others advance in the profession as demonstrated by leadership and advocacy within the workplace and/or among professionals in the field 

  • Other relevant volunteer experience 

  • Contribution to the diversity of perspectives on the board, both as part of NEDRA’s commitment to DEI and with regard to institution type, size, and location 

Upon receipt of a nomination, a member of the Nominating Committee will contact the individual to verify her/his interest in serving on the board and to answer any questions. The nominee will be asked to submit a resume and be interviewed by telephone.
