ADVOCACY AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE The Advocacy and Professional Development Committee Elevating the People and Profession of Prospect Development Advocacy: Empowers professionals in the prospect development field to advocate for themselves and the profession, while raising awareness of career opportunities in prospect research, prospect management, and data analytics. Professional Development: Strengthens the prospect development community by promoting learning, networking, and engagement opportunities for practitioners at all stages of their careers. Volunteer Tasks: Volunteers on the Advocacy and Professional Development Committee assist with providing programming, developing educational resources, and creating opportunities for peers to share ideas. Initiatives may include: · Prospect Development for Interns, Student Workers, and Volunteers webinar · Promoting careers in Prospect Development at career fairs · Industry Leader Focus Groups · Educational Guides and Resources Time Commitment: The Advocacy and Professional Development Committee meets monthly by Zoom for 1 hr. Volunteers may be asked to give additional time if they are working on a particular initiative. |
