This program is offered in conjunction with the 2015 NEDRA Annual Conference in Portsmouth NH. Please stay on this page if you wish to register ONLY for this Bootcamp. NEDRA presents a full day of instruction in the essentials of prospect research. This training is a must for those new to research, or those who have had research added to their roles. No experience in the field is necessary to begin learning how to apply professional research methodologies. This full day of learning will cover such subjects as:


  • The Strategic Role of Advancement Research
  • Prospect Research Fundamentals
  • The Ethical Researcher
  • Advancement Research Sources and Methodology
  • Assessing Gift Capacity
  • Presenting Research

Morning refreshments, lunch, and afternoon snacks will be served.



Faculty:


Roslyn Clarke is an assistant director of research at Harvard University’s Office of Alumni Affairs and Development. She is responsible for education and training for development research and specializes in the financial industry. Roslyn also leads research efforts for the principal gifts team and New York fundraising region while working to educate gift officers on wealth and philanthropic trends. Including positions at Brown University and Hebrew SeniorLife, Roslyn has ten years of prospect research experience.

Amy Begg is the deputy director of research at Harvard University's Office of Alumni Affairs and Development. She is also a prospect research consultant providing services to more than thirty non-profit organizations, including schools, museums, civic and youth organizations, hospitals and religious organizations in Boston, New York and Washington, D.C. Prior to joining the Harvard University research department, Amy was the director of research at the YMCA of Greater New York in Midtown Manhattan. She is a member of the New England Development Researchers Association board of directors.
