WEBINAR: Tips and Practices

on Corporate Research

Thursday, June 25, 2015

12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Since its founding, City Year's private sector philanthropy has predominantly come from corporate partners.  Presented by Katie Brosseau, Advancement Researcher Manager and Charity Tubalado, Director of Prospect Research, at City Year, the webinar will explore general trends in corporate CSR as well as research team strategies and tools employed to undertake basic corporate research, particularly prospecting for new funders.  City Year is an education-focused organization founded in 1988 dedicated to helping students and schools succeed. City Year partners with public schools in 26 urban, high-poverty communities across the U.S. and through international affiliates in the U.K. and Johannesburg, South Africa.

Katie Brosseau is currently an Advancement Research Manager at City Year, Inc. where she provides prospect research and market analysis for our locations in the Northeast and Midwest and manages the research team's resources and strategies for data collection & analysis. Over the course of her time at City Year, Katie has trained over 100 staff on prospect research. Katie originally joined City Year Headquarters as a development research associate in 2011. Katie earned a dual degree in Communication Disorders and Psychology from University of Massachusetts, Amherst where she was also an intern for the Work and Family Transition Project.

Charity Tubalado is Director of Prospect Research for City Year, Inc.  She and her small, but mighty team support City Year's 25 locations across the country with prospect research and market analysis.  Charity holds a M.P.A. from Cornell University with a specialization on International Security and a B.A. in French & Political Science from the University of Florida (go Gators!).
