In an open letter to their newborn daughter Max Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg and wife Priscilla Chan pledge to give 99% of their Facebook shares--currently valued at around $45 billion--to the causes of "advancing human potential" and "promoting equality" through the formation of a new organization, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative LLC.
