    The Washington Post looks at Stanford University's fundraising prowess following Nike Chairman Phil Knight's $400 million donation this week for a new scholars program. Stanford, the nation's most selective college, collected $1.6 billion in gifts in the 12 months ending in June, by far the most of any U.S. university.
